Some cats won’t walk into a cave-like drum. The Neakasa M1 Plus keeps the top open — more light, more air, more “this feels like a normal box” — while the machine still scoops for you.
After your cat leaves, gradual automatic cleaning moves clumps into a sealed-style waste drawer. Official capacity is about 11.23 L for waste and 7.17 L for litter; Neakasa describes roughly up to two weeks between empties for a single cat. Multi-cat homes should plan weekly bag changes for fresher air and cleaner sensors.
Emptying uses the Pull & Wrap system: pull to cinch the bag, lift out, replace. Neakasa states any bag that fits the drawer can work; keep spare liners on hand either way.
M1 Plus safety messaging centers on upgraded six-set sweeping infrared detection (officially contrasted with earlier five-sensor designs) plus weight sensors and a controlled rotation range. For cats under about 2.2 lb (1 kg), enable Kitten Mode and run cleans manually.
Use fast-clumping granular litter (bentonite / mineral sand recommended). Avoid highly absorbent non-clumping, loosely clumping, newspaper, or wood-pellet types. The filter is described for particles up to about 3 mm diameter and 10 mm length.
Little Finds. Better Living. An open box your cat may actually choose — and a quieter chore list for you.
